What to Wear for Family Photos in Los Angeles

Choosing what to wear for family photos can feel harder than the actual photo session. The good news is there’s no single right answer. The goal is simple. Look cohesive without looking like a matching choir.

In Los Angeles, neutral and earthy tones photograph beautifully. Creams, tans, soft blues, muted greens, and warm browns work incredibly well with both beach and park settings. These colors reflect light nicely and keep the focus on faces, not outfits.

Try to avoid large logos, bold patterns, and neon colors. They tend to pull attention away and can date photos quickly. Layers are your friend. Light jackets, sweaters, or textures add depth without effort.
